Numbering machines are available in different configurations and type faces (font), which must be specified when ordering.
UNIT Wheels are indexed each impression, usually they have a thick ratchet.
TENS Wheels are indexed every ten impression, usually they have a thin ratchet.
ALPHA Wheels are commonly engraved either A to J, K to R, and S to Z.
Numbering Machines for Bar Codes - Bar Codes are a specified pattern of alternating rectangular, parallel bars and spaces that make up individual characters (numbers, letters or symbols) that are machine readable by means of a wand or scanner. When combined they can represent a product number, order number, or any other information you may want them to represent and to be entered directly into a computer. Bar Codes are like languages, so the scanner/wand must be programmed to read those specific codes.
Numbering Machines for MICR/E 13B - The MICR (Magnetic Ink Character Recognition) is used in the reading of magnetic characters, utilising the special type font E13B or CMC Bull, by electronic equipment. MICR is used mainly by banks in the reading of documents.
Numbering Machines for OCR - The OCR (Optical Character Recognition) font type is used in the reading of characters utilising scanners, which with the appropriate software converts the OCR font to characters recognisable by computers.
Numbering Machines for Jumbo (Large) Numbers - Special numbering machines covering the range up to 1” character height can be sourced from various sources. Other character heights can be made to suit specific requirements.
SKIP Numbering - SKIP Numbering is needed where 2 or more at view numbered documents are printed per page/image, or individual documents of say 11” long printed on 22” print circumference.
MODULUS - Modulus numbering evolved from the need to reduce and detect errors of transcription and transposition when capturing and/or entering numbers into a computerised system. For example when a number with its check digit is entered into a computer, the computer checks the number before accepting or rejecting any data that needs to be recorded.
BOOK & PAGE - Book and page numbering allows automatic advancement of a multiple of pages in a book and advance the book number at a preset count.
MULTI-PRO - The MULTI-PRO attachment is designed as a retrofit to existing Rollem Auto 4 or Mini 4 numbering, perforating, slitting and scoring machine. The MULTI-PRO is designed to enhance the capabilities of these numbering machines by extending their capabilities to include cold carbon numbering, hot foil numbering, hot foil stamping, and blind embossing and foil embossing.
Cold Carbon Numbering - Can be achieved with the use of special ribbons as used on a variety of purpose built presses.
Hot Foil Numbering - Can be achieved with the use of special foil as used in hot foil presses.
Hot Foil Stamping - Can be achieved with the use of special foil as used in hot foil presses.
Blind & Foil Embossing - Can be achieved with the use of special foil as used in hot foil presses.
